The J&C is reporting that the uberdeadly, ebola-esque, destroyer of worlds, manbearpig, H1N1 virus has struck Tippecanoe County!!!
From the chilling report:
The student, who began exhibiting flu-like symptoms about a week ago, was voluntarily quarantined and has since recovered and returned to school...
"There is no cause for alarm right now," Bohlin [the county health officer] said. "So far, it seems to be acting like the regular flu season that we are familiar with."
So some kid from Klondike Elementary School got the snifflez but is all better now. That's... great... or something.
Ok, so maybe I'm making light of this too much. In fairness, the one thing that perhaps should be of concern mentioned in this article is that the kid had not recently traveled to Mexico or any other known infected area and the county health official said he expects to see more confirmed cases in the area. The moral of the story: try not to cough on anyone in the library the next few days but don't hyperventilate on the car/plane/train/rickshaw ride home.
Happy Finals!
