Congratulations are in order for Boiler Green Initiative, Purdue's premier student organization focusing on environmental issues.
Last weekend BGI finished the final bulk of a 3-year, $68,000 dollar project to build a "green roof" on top of Schleman Hall. The green roof project is intended to help act as a type of insulation to help heat/cool the building, collect rainwater, and (perhaps most importantly) serve as a model to challenge students and the university to think creatively about ways they can become more environmentally friendly.

Great job guys, I can't wait to check it out!
